Julie Dodson, creative director of award-winning Dodson Interiors, is a natural when it comes to interior design. She studied at ‘Ole Miss where she received her Bachelor of Interior Design. Her inherent skills of fashion and design were honed while working with some of Houston’s top design firms including that of her mother, the renowned Trisha Dodson.
Recognized for her fresh approach on classical style—a sophisticated and harmonious mix of Hollywood glam and refined transitional design— Julie has adopted the phrase “Casual Glamour” as her trademark. Her talents have not gone unnoticed. In 2012 the Houston Design Center awarded her the title “Star on the Rise” and in 2010, she was one of Traditional Home Magazine’s “20 Young Designers to Watch.” In addition, she has engaged in several television interviews and has been featured in numerous magazine articles. Whether it’s New York City or her native home Houston, Julie leaves an elegant and inspired design footprint.
Dodson Interiors has completed new construction and remodel projects as well as participated in the Pink Ribbon Project which supports breast cancer research. Julie acknowledges that cancer has affected most of us in some way or another, and being a part of the Pink Ribbon Project is a way to help support further exploration for a cure. Julie is also a huge supporter of animal rescue groups and spends her time helping homeless pets find forever families through her Non-Profit organization Dogs & Design.
